Nearly all connectivity issues are resolved with a manual reset. You can perform a manual reset on your headset by following these instructions:
- Start with your headset powered off.
- Enter pairing mode by pressing and holding the volume+ button for 5-7 seconds. Your headset will turn on, and then the LED light will flash red and blue to indicate pairing mode.
- Press and hold the multifunction button (located on the right earpiece), volume+ button, and volume- (all three buttons) button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds. You'll hear two beeps and/or feel two vibrations. This may take several attempts.
- Turn your headset off to complete the reset.
Your headset is now reset and can be re-paired to your device. In addition, we suggest turning the device you are connecting to off and back on again before beginning the pairing process.
I’m having trouble connecting my OpenComm microphone to my Windows 10 PC.
Turn on your Bluetooth headset > Right click the sound/speaker icon on desktop > Click Open Sound Settings. Under Input, you should see your input device in the dropdown menu. Select your Bluetooth Microphone from dropdown.
*Bluetooth Microphone not showing in the dropdown menu? Right click the Sound Icon on desktop > Click Open Sound settings > Scroll down the page and click Bluetooth and other devices > Click Add Bluetooth or other device and follow instructions to add your Bluetooth headset. Once complete, you should see the Bluetooth Microphone option in the dropdown.
I’m having trouble getting both my audio and microphone to work with Zoom/ Microsoft Teams.
Start by checking your sound settings (Start>System>Sound). Select Headphones (OpenComm by AfterShokz) as your output device and select Headset (OpenComm by AfterShokz).
Next, open the audio settings within the application you are using (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, etc) and confirm that OpenComm is selected as your audio device. Select Headset (OpenComm by AfterShokz) as both your input and output devices.
I'm having trouble pairing my headphones to Windows 7.

My headset sounds different than a traditional headset.
You may notice your headset sounds a little different than traditional air-conduction headphones. This is normal. However, if you've noticed the sound quality has diminished over time, and you're still within two years since purchase, please file a warranty claim here.
Other people can hear my music.
All AfterShokz headsets have LeakSlayer technology to reduce sound leakage when worn; however, similar to a traditional headset, whether others can hear your music depends on the volume of your audio and volume level of the surrounding environment.
